Presidential Elections in Croatia: The First Female Head of the State

On December 28th, 2014 took place the first round of the presidential elections in Croatia. The results are of the utmost importance as they are considered as a crash test for the coming parliamentary elections scheduled to be held in late 2015. Dimitra Bitsa, External Scientific Associate/Editor’s Assistant in Southeastern Europe Intelligence Unit, analyzes the final results of the elections and the implications may have for the state.
