Presidential elections were held in Romania in two rounds (November 2nd and 16th, 2014). The opposition candidate Klaus Iohannis, leader of National Liberal Party (PNL) succeeded an unexpected victory against Romania’s current Prime Minister, Victor Ponta and leader of Social Democratic Party (PSD).
